try what is called a minimal boot.

By using NO RAM in a minimal boot you WILL get an error message/beep code for tyhe lack of RAM. IF you successfully make it this far shut the system down and add 1
component at a time (starting the system up between adding components). Do this until you find the culprit component.
A few qustions come to mind when I looked at this thread. 1.) no mention of the video card being used. I must assume that you are using the onboard video... 2.) You said you have the SDRAM chip in the right slot. You mean the correct slot according to the manual or do you mean that you have the chips in the further most right slot???? 3.) What is the specs on the RAM (ie. brand, speed, etc.)
