Its a little off topic, but halo 2 will be lucky to make it by march 2004.

And even more bad news Everquest 2 will be release sometime in our lifetime. If you can't find any of your friends on its release date, go check up on them. Make sure they havn't got hooked on Evercrack.

Summer 2004 launch will be it according to the Inq

".....Todd Hollenshead, CEO of ID Software, said: "This summer we're sending game fans on a first class trip to Mars with a layover in Hell".

The firms said the latest instalment of the ever popular game will include a "revolutionary" 3D graphics engine.

Nvidia no doubt will throw its weight behind it. No more precise date than "summer" is yet available....]

Yes... I'm trying to keep my expenditures to a minimum so I can slap in a new video card for sure. My R9800 is going to become a "hand-me-down" to my little brother to replace his Ti4200.

I still doubt my 1.4 will be able to handle Doom III lol :)

no worries since I'm still in the midst of Max Payne 1 lol

If Id can make a game as good as Return to castel wolfenstein was (which i know it will)... I will definatly purchase this game. :D

Ehh.. I might have to splurge and get Doom III.. I wasn't originally planning on it, but with HL2 so far off yet I might have to. *sigh* The sacrifices I make for the good of humanity..

No, they will use OpenGL in Doom3 that means that DX9 graphics will not be used at all. If you mean if they are going to use modern features as pixel shaders and stuff I don't know. OpenGL 2.0 supports new features that you see in DX9.
