don't lie to yourself.if you don't buy the stuff noone will kill the animal.if you're a murderer atleast try to be a brave one :P
I get in from work at 2 a.m. and sit down with beer
Turn on late night TV and then wonder why I'm here
It's meaningless and trivial and it washes over me
And once again I wonder is this all there is for me

Yeah, then we could all live off of swallowing air.

(Remember, a fart is just a belch that didn't have the power to make it up.)

Wow I missed this thread! :D

Diehard hunter here...bow, shotgun, muzzleloader. Any season...I'm out there. Pretty tough hunting here in NJ (public lands no less), but I put alot of time and effort in and sometimes it pays off.

Took a nice 8 pointer with the bow about 2 weeks ago, hanging tight until gun season now. My buddy took a narly 12 pointer, kickers and stickers all over, the Saturday after I took mine.

He made lots of jerky...MMMM MMM GOOD is right! :)

muzzleloaders are kinda strange, pull the trigger and it seems like you could count to 10 before it actually fires, although i know its not quite that long :D

how is it hunting on public land? it bothers me if i even think i might see a speck of orange off in the distance :?

was talkin to someone who said their brother had a 53 point deer 8O , well, but only about 40 were long enough to count, supposed to show me the antlers some time, they said one side points straight up and the other down and back, and it was the ugliest deer they had ever seen

Where are you hunting? LOL 53 pointer...wtffffffff hahaha
Public lands are VERY difficult...wish I could find private...tough in NJ.
Just gotta deal with the crowds and try to get away from them! ;)

im in northeasternish missouri, im not sure there is even public hunting ground here :D

i can go several places, and there wont be anyone for at least a mile or two, and sometimes ill go on my relatives property and almost step on someone that really isnt supposed to be there

last year i saw a buck that had to have nearly 20 points, and it was just plain huge, antlers looked perfect on both sides, i had no idea where it came from, it was just there, and was about 4 feet in front of my deerstand and maybe 15 feet down, i clicked the safety off on my gun and it ran straight under my stand and stood there where i couldnt hit it, and ran off after what seemed like a week, but was probably around 10 seconds :D
