Budget CF card megapixel camera

Postby Zooooot » Thu Oct 10, 2002 1:48 am

Anybody know of any reputable cameras that shipped with a compact flash card slot and about 2 megapixels that can be purchased for under a hundered dollars now? If I could get one that has a lens cover, too, that'd be great.
I was thinking about some kodak models, and nikon coolpix, I believe, but I don't know if I'm missing something out there.
Any ideas?

Well I have seen some on http://www.compgeeks.com - I dont know about the flash card slot, but they are Kodak cameras. But the price range on the selection they have is $130 and up (US dollars of coarse)

Right. I always monitor compgeeks first, but besides the geeks, I'm not sure where else to look. Any suggestions?

This place is supposed to be pretty good according to resellerratings, it's called Buydig.com.

Here's the reseller rating.

Well, I'm still looking for that CF card camera.......
Linux compatibility would be nice.
I'm thinking Nikon Coolpix 2100, Canon A60, or maybe an older Kodak or HP Camera.
Does anyone have any resources or information regarding camera purchasing or linux compatibility?

Finally found a camera. It's an HP photosmart 120 camera. It's not exactly state of the art, but it'll get the job done, especially when it cost less than 60 bucks shipped.
