Looking for a new camera

Postby evol1 » Tue Sep 02, 2003 1:38 pm

I'm looking to buy a new digital camera, somewhere around the $250.00price range give or take a few. I don't need anything to fancy just a good quality point and shoot. I'm leaving for my honeymoon this Saturday so I can't buy it online, I'll have to find it in a Best Buy or somewhere. Does anybody have any reccomendations?

I bought a Fuji A303 at Best Buy. It's a really nice camera and it works with Linux (in case you're interested).

Here's a pic for you to see the quality.

Sony CyberShot DSC-P92, 5 Megapixel Digital Camera + Printer

Postby Deal01 » Sat Sep 20, 2003 11:27 pm

As for Camera, Sony's are probably the best. I saw a great deal on

Sony CyberShot DSC-P92, 5 Megapixel Digital Camera + a Free + Epson Stylus Photo 825 Inkjet Printer for $358.99. This is a little bit higher than your price range, but you will get a free printer, Plus a much better camera, and high resolution. And it's small size means high portability.

Well thanks anyway but I already purchased a camera. I got the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P32. I got it on sale and with a rebate to boot, so it fit in my budget nicely. It seemed like a good middle of the road camera and so far I have no complaints.

Well cudaman - I have to agree with you - I hate Sony products too and will never buy ANYTHING made by them again. I have had nothing but trouble with their products - and just try to get some of the newer Sony peripherals to work in Linux. Good luck.

I've never had any problems with Sony products. Everything I ever bought has had a decent life span with me and I don't baby my things.
