Gigabyte Lan and 10/100 Lan

I have the DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B motherboard, and I have the dual lan, gigabyte and 10/100. Which should I use to get the best speed a.) at home using a cable connection, b.) at school using a t1 connection.

i think most peoples cable connections are 1-2 Mbps, and t1 is roughly the same, which isnt much considering the 100Mbps bandwidth on most home lans

as for the gigabit ethernet, it wont do you any good unless you or your school has 1000Mbps switches, which isnt highly likely :(

o wow, i only wish i had that when i was in the dorms..... :drool01: we had 10baseT . and its good i got out of there when i did cause they added about 400 more computers to our part of the chain to the T1s... and didnt increase the bandwidth anywhere... which ment slower than 56k connections for all
