Nvidia linux overclocking tool

Postby cuchumino81 » Sat Nov 20, 2004 6:54 pm

look at this little tool i stumbled into for all you linux freaks (myself including, unfortunately i don't have a nvidia card to try this out on).

IMHO, linux compatibility is the is prolly the only reason that i would buy *shudders* an nvidia card....

ATI has 3d support also on linux, but... it has alot of improving to do. I have a 9800 pro. It works on linux, but it has alot more flaws and incompatibilities than nvidia cards. I know that ATI is working at bettering their linux drivers, but they still have a long way..

dunno if this thread should be here, in the linux threads, or in the OCing threads

every time i find something "multi-threadable" i reaaaaaaaaaaally am tempted to to that. But... i know i would step on some mods toes for posting the same post on three separate forums

it would be funny though, post it even in threads that make no sense.

It gets really confusing when posts are multi-threaded, since you have the same discussion in multiple places.

Take into account the title's order in the terms
1/ Nvidia 2/Linux 3/overclocking

Since the thread is mainly related to Nvidia video-card, there's no trouble to leave it in video-cards section

I assume it could be different if the topic was "NV clock :overclocking guide for Nvidia vid-cards" (overclocking section) or " New for Linux: NV clock" (Linux section)

I agree with Zooooot : multithreads & confusion = is no good :?

thats why i put it in here. cuz the more general term that i could think of was that it was an Nvidia card.
