Hey all!

This card is normally around $80-90 dollars. Is this a decent card? By "Decent" I mean will it run games like "Diablo 2" and "Counter stirke" quite well? Are these cards at all reliable? Anyone have one of these cards? I can get this card for $41 canadian here:

Tiger is a widely-known dealer, so I am not to concerned about integrity. I mainly want to know if this card works okay. I don't want constant crashes. I want solid, reliable gameplay for older games like the ones above: Diablo 2, counterstrike, Qauke 3 etc...

Please help me...the sale ends in a few days!

I'd reccomend checking out the 8d review pages and vid card roundups-
here.
The 5200's have never been highly regarded as far as performance goes. How much are you looking to spend? Sub US$50? Sub US$100?

i had a 5200 cards, and if you are looking for a budget card, i would recommend this one.

I had one a while back, and it was an ok card. Tho as zoot said, it ain't that good on performace when you compare with other better equipped cards.

I think i heard someone say that it was a 440 card with directX 9 support.

It isn't the best card out there, and if you are on a budget, it would be an ok card.

For the price that these cards go for, it's a pretty decent bang for your buck. My last two system builds both has new 5200s equipped and they are very stable and decent cards. You won't be able to run many games in top eye-candy mode, but it will run pretty much anything with hardly any problems.

For the price that they are, the performance is quite satisfactory. It gets my budget card rating.

GFX 5200 is not that weak of a card, anyway a nice performance/features/price ratio....If you want to situate the 5200 rank in a "bang for the buck" scale compared with most available -same generation - cards, just look here

ya those games it will devower them. those games run good on a GF2 so a fx5200 will run em nice. you might even beable to run some newer stuff on em good. I know my FX5600 did alright on UT2004, but I have problems loading the Doom3 demo.... but they are probably unrelated (might be my driver, random squirrel)
